A Family in Crisis – Help Me Keep a Promise to Qudratullah
In May 2024, we met Qudratullah — a young Afghan father, almost blind and dying from untreated Type 1 diabetes. He was the only man in his household. In Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, that meant everything.
With human-imposed restrictions leaving women powerless, his family — a widowed mother, his wife, and four children all under the age of seven, were completely helpless. They had no one to protect or provide for them. No money for treatment. No future.
But thanks to the kindness off donors, we changed that. Together, we raised the funds that got Qudratullah to hospital. He received urgent treatment, life-saving medication, and laser eye surgery. He slowly regained his strength and even began to work again. For the first time in a long time, his family was safe.
But then, everything changed.
One year later, on 5th June 2025. Qudratullah took a sudden, devastating turn for the worse. He passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind his grieving family with nothing and no one.
They are once again vulnerable, even more so now. And I promised him I would help them.
Please, help me keep that promise.
Your donation can provide food, shelter, and security for a mother who has lost her son, a widow who has lost her husband, and four young children who have lost their father. Together, we can offer them not just survival — but dignity, safety, and a future.
Thank you for your compassion. Carrie
