Support Profe Marc's Family in Crisis

Profe Marc and his family have been living in Minnesota for the last 7 years. He first came as a Language Assistant, but it was his deep passion for teaching—and his genuine love for Minnesota—that made him realize this was where he wanted to build his life and long-term career as an educator. Minnesota quickly became more than a place to work; it became home. During this journey, Marc met his wife, Marta. Together, they built a loving partnership rooted in shared values, community, and a deep commitment to education and family. After getting married, they made the joyful decision to start a family of their own. In January of last year, filled with hope for the future, they purchased a home in Forest Lake as they prepared to welcome their daughter. Their baby girl, Siena, is now seven months old and truly the light of their lives. She is a joyful, curious, and delightful baby whose laughter fills their home with warmth. Even in challenging moments, Siena’s smiles and growing personality remind Marc and Marta of the beautiful future they are working so hard to build.

Marc and Marta deeply want to continue their life in Minnesota—raising Siena in the community they love, strengthening their family roots, and allowing Marc to continue growing as the dedicated and passionate teacher our school community knows him to be. Minnesota is where they imagine Siena’s first steps, first words, and first school days. It is where they hope to continue contributing, teaching, and building a meaningful life together.

Our school community has been incredibly fortunate to have Profe Marc as part of our lives. He is a passionate educator, a caring colleague, and a bright light in our school. Unfortunately, a clerical error made during the preparation of his immigration paperwork resulted in the denial of his most recent filing. Although the mistake was later corrected, the resolution process has not moved forward as expected. As a result, Marc will be forced to return to Spain with his wife and baby later this month. This situation is entirely outside of his control and brings immediate and significant financial challenges. In a very short period of time, Marc’s family must purchase international plane tickets to Spain, continue paying their home mortgage in the U.S. while Marc is without employment, and navigate an uncertain transition as they determine their next steps.

Marc’s hope is to return to the United States—and to our community—as soon as he is legally able. In the meantime, we are coming together to support him and his family during this difficult and unexpected season.

Funds raised will go directly toward emergency travel costs, housing, and essential living expenses during this transition. Any contribution—no matter the amount—will help ease the financial burden on Marc’s family and remind them that they are not alone. Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and support for someone who has given so much to our community.
