Support Peyton’s family after their loss
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Megan Thackery, I am the mother of Peyton Ratliff. Many of you have reached out and helped our family through our times of need. And now we are in our time of loss.
Peyton Marie Ratliff passed away from her brain tumor on December 5th at 11:42 AM. She was surrounded by her family and myself, being an embalmer/funeral director apprentice, my spouse and I were able to care for her and take her to the funeral home and make her as comfortable as possible.
We had a service on the 16th at 6 PM that is still watchable on the Stanley’s funeral and cremation site. Currently, our family is struggling with getting back to normal.
While we are dealing with our grief and loss of our loved one: The world is not pausing and waiting for us. Everything continues to move forward, and we cannot continue to fall back.
I, Megan, am attempting to continue school. Sophia, Peyton stepsister, is working at her homeschooling and learning the piano. Richard, Peyton’s stepfather, is continuing to work on his guitar and may grow into teaching lessons to others. Peyton‘s brother, Lincoln, is going to be attending school soon. We are all having to continue with our lives despite having lost a great life impacting all of ours.
As we get our family put back together, and attempt to pull a Christmas together for our children, we ask for any help that anyone is willing to grace us with. Thank you all for your kind words and your support.
If you cannot give? Sharing is just as good. The more you can share this go fund me out into the world… The more we are appreciative.
Believe me. We completely understand wanting to help and wanting to be there for others, but not having the financial capability of doing so in the present time.
If sharing on your social media and all platforms is all you’re capable of doing? That’s not something to sneer at. That is incredibly helpful to us. Sharing on every platform you have is wonderful and I encourage it.
Thank you all for everything that you have done- and no matter what you celebrate: Happy Holidays
