Support Penuela's Journey to Yale
Donation protected
On May 4th, Penuela was on her way to support her high school's annual carnival, as she was approached by an individual as she passed by the bank. The individual tricked her into depositing a fake check into her account and to receive cash instead. Despite her attempts to dispute her bank, she was scammed $990. She is starting her first year at Yale University and could use your support in alleviating this financial burden.
Knowing Penuela's family situation of depending on single parent income, this situation has caused stress for her family currently as they prepare for her to go to college. She is the first in her family to attend college and is worried about anticipated costs for books, electronics, and supplies. She's a hardworking student who was the only one in her graduating class to be accepted to and attend Yale University. She moves into college on August 18th, and has been unable to buy the supplies she needs for the start of her semester. Penuela and her family would appreciate any assistance especially because her move in date is so soon. Anything counts and would be truly appreciated!
