Hi, my name is Chris and my daughter's name is Penelope (Penny). I'm a former US Postal Service Clerk who was injured on the job (torn Achilles). I was coerced and threatened by a supervisor to either resign or be terminated shortly after. I had already filed an EEO for discrimination against said supervisor, and am currently trying to fight the case with no legal help. Even though my workers compensation claim was accepted by the post office, I was denied pay for the first 3 months due to my forced resignation. During this process, I lost my home, and fell extremely far behind on bills. A few true friends offered some assistance which meant the world and felt like a miracle at the time. Now that I'm healed and finally able to work, I'm still so far behind and the weight is overwhelming. Having an 8-year-old daughter who needs medical (pictured above) only adds to the weight as it's financially difficult to see her amidst everything going on with her. I just currently started bussing tables and am applying to new jobs and staffing agencies daily. During all of this I also lost my car as it was flooded during hurricane beryl. Therefore, it's made getting to work or seeing my daughter that much more difficult. My fingers are crossed, and I pray daily while going through the case to get my job back. I've also started donating plasma which I would do to help others regardless of my situation.
