On Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, my friend's daughter, sweet and silly Payton, was the victim of a brutal and senseless attack. She was savagely beaten, pulled by her hair into traffic on Richmond Avenue, and left unable to get herself to safety. Our hearts are shattered, and no child or family should ever have to endure this.

Payton is a bright, loving young girl who deserves to heal and feel safe again. Right now, she and her family are facing not only the emotional trauma of this attack, but also the financial burden of medical expenses, counseling, and time away from work as they focus on her recovery and pursue justice.
