My name is Payden Shelley, and I'm working on my final step towards the rank of Eagle Scout. For my Eagle Scout project, I'm building two accessible raised garden beds and two wooden benches for the community garden at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. These tall garden beds will make gardening more accessible, especially to elderly members of the community who love gardening but struggle with bending, kneeling, or sitting on the ground. The beds will also create more usable space in the garden for members of the congregation and surrounding community. The wooden benches will provide a place for people to rest and enjoy the garden. I’m raising funds to cover the cost of lumber, screws, soil and other materials needed to complete my project. Any contribution will directly help me make this project a reality.
