Support Paul Wye’s Family

If you clicked on this link, I’m guessing you already know my brother, Paul. So I don’t need to tell you what a spectacular human being he is.

I don’t need to tell you that he would–quite literally–give the shirt off his back, the shoes off his feet and the money in his wallet to a complete stranger who needed any (or all) of those things.

I don’t need to tell you that he’s a guy who CONSTANTLY goes out of his way to serve others. No task is too big or too small: fetching a drink; moving; or wiring your entire home for surround sound. He’s always at the front of the line to volunteer his services, and drawing from his own energy to give to others.

And I’ll just go ahead and assume that he’s fixed a technical issue for you in the past. Because who has he NOT fixed a technical issue for?

If you’ve ever seen him with his wife Ruthann, you know that he’s the kind of partner most people dream of having. Doting, loving, generous, kind, and always in tune with what she needs.

If you’ve seen him in the past 8.5 years, you’ll know that he is the most incredible dad. His boys, Quinn (8), Davin (6) and Ashton (3) absolutely worship him. I have sincerely loved watching him transform from a guy who didn’t even think he wanted kids, to being a guy who has the strongest type of bond with his sons I think a parent could have. And he’s a pretty stellar uncle, as well… my girls adore him.

You already know all of those things. Or at least, you do now.

What you might not know about Paul is that on Saturday, July 29th, he suffered from a severe anaphlactic shock after being stung by several wasps at our family farm. We had gathered to celebrate the life of our Grandpa, and headed to the farm after burying his ashes.

Paul is in the ICU in Sudbury, and the doctor has told us there is no chance he’ll survive. He is an organ donor, and that process takes a few days. But I am crushed to tell you that we will be saying goodbye to this most wonderful man very soon.

You’ve probably guessed that the reason for this campaign is his family. Paul is the primary income earner for all 5 of them. When I think about what he’d want “in lieu of flowers,” there’s only one thing: to make sure Ruthann and the boys are taken care of.

Please, if you know him, if you love him, if he’s ever impacted your life in any way, please contribute whatever you can, and/or share this link. 100% of whatever is donated will go them.

Thank you so much.

-Lindsay
