My heart is heavy today with the grief of losing my precious fur babies. The anguish of being helpless and not permitted the chance to even try to save them was unspeakable. My pride and joy was my going on 17-year-old dog, Diva Marie, who had traveled many paths beside me on this journey through our lives, and I never would have imagined what a tragic parting the two of us would have. We had already overcome so much, and with this home, we were building a new, better way of life. Now, I am left with nothing but a car I have no key to even drive away in. The fire remained going as of two days later, so it's a pile of rubbish to others, but to me, it was everything.

It's hard to see a silver lining, but I did end up getting two miracles with the possibility of one more still lost out there. That night, from this courageous firefighter who risked everything for my little Skylar and her mother, Sage. I'm very thankful for law enforcement who brought the two back to me afterward.

I'm hoping with the community’s help that would be extremely helpful and greatly appreciated that me and my fur babies that made it out alive would be able to regain stability and find a new home for us.
