Patti Stinchcomb is my aunt, my mother’s sister and best friend, and a beloved member of her community thanks to her stand at the local farmers market. Patti lived in her Pylesville, Maryland home with her two adult children. Tragically, their world was turned upside down early this morning (New Year's Day) when a devastating fire, caused by an electrical issue, destroyed their home. The fire was so severe that the cause couldn’t be definitively determined, and the house is now considered a complete loss. Thankfully, Patti, her children, and one of their five cats made it out safely, but four of their cats are still missing.
The heartbreak of losing their home and pets is unimaginable. Nearly all of their belongings were lost in the fire, leaving them with nothing but the clothes they escaped in. Now, Patti and her family are facing the daunting task of rebuilding their lives. They need help with everything—finding a place to stay, replacing clothing and essentials, and starting over in every sense.
Patti has faced many hardships in her life, yet she always remains a positive and hopeful spirit, constantly helping others. She is truly deserving of our love and support at this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference as Patti and her family begin to rebuild. Thank you all so much for your kindness and support.
