For my birthday month, I’m asking for something beyond gifts♥️ I’m asking for IMPACT!

The Patchogue Neighbors Soup Kitchens, Inc. is in urgent need of a new commercial cooktop/oven so we can continue preparing meals for our community. Along with this, we’re working to replenish our shelves to keep feeding those who need us most.

This September, I’ve created a fundraiser to help cover these critical costs. Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to keeping our doors open and our mission alive.

The Neighborhood Soup Kitchens, Inc. is a consortium of four soup kitchens serving the Patchogue/East Patchogue area. Approximately 600 hot meals are served weekly, either as take out or eat in, at these times and locations:

Monday - St. Paul's, Rider Avenue, 12:00 eat in

Tuesday - St. Joseph the Worker, Narragansett Avenue, 5:45 take out Wednesday - Congregational Church, Main Street, 5:00 eat in

Saturday - St. Francis de Sales, Amity Street, 8:00 am take out Costs for food and supplies are approximately $5000.00 per month.

Funding is from donations, fund raising and grants. All workers, cooks, purchasers, servers, and maintenance are volunteers. There are no paid workers.

Since COVID, there has been a sharp increase in the number of guests availing themselves of these free meals, an increase of approximately 150-200 weekly. Much of this increase is due to food insecurity faced by the working poor. There are no requirements to receive a meal. Unlike food pantries which require documentation of residency, our soup kitchens serve everyone who comes.

We are very proud of our service to the community and know our work is appreciated by the guests who come to our soup kitchens.
