Our Why: Compassion in Action — Warmth for Crown Heights

My name is Pastor Nadine, and I am part of The Voice of One Crying in the Wilderness Ministry – New York. As the cold months settle in, too many of our neighbors in Crown Heights are facing winter without the essentials that keep us warm, nourished, and cared for.

That’s why we’ve launched our Compassion in Action Drive — a community effort to spread warmth and love to those who need it most. Our goal is simple but powerful: to collect at least 20 warm coats and raise funds to provide winter clothing, hygiene kits, non-perishable foods, coffee, and breakfast in select Crown Heights neighborhoods in need.

At The Voice of One Crying in the Wilderness Ministry, we believe compassion isn’t just a word — it’s something you do. It’s showing up for others, extending kindness, and being the hands and feet of love in action.

Your donation will help us:

Purchase coats, gloves, and warm clothing for those struggling in the cold.

Assemble hygiene kits filled with essentials for daily dignity.

Provide coffee and breakfast to those who may go without.

Remind our neighbors that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.
