This is Pastor Eddie Lee James. I am currently in the hospital with stage 4 liver cancer. I have been battling for 4 years. The doctors have given me 6 months to a year to live. They asked me if I wanted to go to hospice, but I refused to go, so I told the doctors that I was going home. It’s been close to 4 years, and I’m still here. Glory be to God. I know that I have work to do; my assignment is not up. I’m currently in the hospital due to extreme pain in my body. There is a cancerous tumor growth on my shoulder and in my back, pressing on my spine. The pain is excruciating, so I’m admitted for surgery to remove the cancer from my spine. I’m a very energetic person. I’ve been a chef for over 25 years, but now I’m unable to work due to this illness.

I’m reaching out to you, my family and friends, for support, naturally as well as spiritually. Due to the fact that I’m unable to work, we lost our car and have no way to get around to doctor’s appointments, go to the store, and other things. I feel handicapped. My medication and treatment are very expensive. My wife and I are givers; we feed the hungry, clothe those that are without, give money out of our pockets, and minister the word of God, winning souls to Christ.
