Support Parks N' Riffs Concerts Amid Jp's Cancer Battle

Most of you know me. My name is John-Paul "Jp" Jones, and for decades I have been donating concert performances for free to the public to help organizations such as:

1. Wapello County Volunteer Sheriffs

2. American Legion Tama

3. VFW Ottumwa

4. American Legion Keokuk

5. Willy Ray's BBQ

6. VFW Muscatine

7. Ottumwa Juneteenth Celebration

8. RiverRoots Music Festival

And many, many more.

In October of 2024, I committed a donation of 4 concerts to the Izaak Walton League of Wapello County. Unfortunately, in April of this year, I was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma Kidney Cancer.

Due to the rising out-of-pocket costs for care, I would never ask anyone to help me with my medical bills, that is not what this is about, but rather with financial help to make sure the 4 concerts to help me help the Izaak Walton. I need to see these through. So please consider contributing.

What many do not know is that I have a production crew of 6 people and a band of 3 people, and they have always been paid for every charitable show. Well, anticipating that this year is different, I am asking for help to relieve me of some of the financial burden for these concerts.

We are looking for about $1250.00 per concert, which would cover about 30% of the costs for each one.

I do not have a lot to offer in return other than my gratitude or a copy of my album.

I have never asked for a gift a day in my life, but now I am learning that I cannot do all things by myself. The name of the concert series is Parks N Riffs, and if I am strong enough, it will feature the John-Paul Jones Group and a special guest once per month performing at the Izaak Walton League Grounds in Ottumwa, Iowa. I hope you will help me out with this, even if you cannot donate funds.

We would love for physical help as well to setup the stage on the Friday before the concert and to tear the stage down on the Sunday after the concert.

Also because I cannot be in the heat for long I would welcome anyone with an air conditioned RV who would bring it out for our use on each weekend you would be able as a way for me to conserve my strength and stay safe.
