Support Paralegals' Housing Advocacy Journey

Paralegal Layoff Support Fund - On February 5, a dozen paralegals including myself working on two housing projects found out we were unexpectedly laid off. Our last day will be February 28. I am heartbroken to lose my job when I lived and breathed advocacy tirelessly for our clients over the years.

I was able to secure financing for a 2024 Nissan Rogue a.k.a. my future home when I will no longer have a partner to help me stay housed. The car has other planned destinies other than being my future home on wheels. I met a special houseless advocate in Austin, Texas, who has escalated the past four years of houseless marches in San Antonio, Texas to a National Lens by bringing further awareness of our local governance in response to houselessness to national agencies. She is working with me to create the largest Houseless March we have ever done - a 2-Week March from San Antonio to Austin, City Hall to City Hall. So, the vehicle will be used to serve as protection to marchers from Point A to Point B. Also, may serve as sleeping accommodations for the two of us as well.

Please contribute what you can to help pay for this expense as I will struggle to cover future payments before I start a new job and land back on my feet. Funds will be transparent and go directly to future payments due on the vehicle - 72 Payments, I was only able to make 1. 71 Payments left to go. Anything and Everything Helps greatly.

Thank you so much for your assistance.
