Support OuttatheCage: Medical Care for West Valley Dogs
Tax deductible
OuttatheCage rescue has been a lifeline for West Valley dogs. This amazing rescue won’t shy away from dogs who need medical help (which puts them at danger for euthanasia). So far this year they have spent over $20,000 in medical costs for West Valley dogs—and that doesn’t include dogs from other shelters!
Let’s show them our appreciation by donating toward medical expenses! Any amount helps.
· Willow, 11 months old, $2300: Willow arrived at West Valley shelter after being hit by a car. She underwent a Femoral Head Osteotomy (aka: hip surgery). She is healing nicely and will be able to walk normally.
· Milo, 3 years old, $5400: Gorgeous black pittie Milo had a stiff gate that turned out to be a torn ACL. He underwent TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery and is now regaining his strength in rehab. (If you’d like to meet him, he is one special dude.)
· River, 9 weeks old, $1800: Husky puppy River contracted Parvo and was given until 4:00pm to be rescued. Outta the Cage showed up at 3:30 and took River straight to the vet. The Parvo treatment worked and he is now living his best life with an awesome Husky family!
· Buzz, 4 months old, $1800: Buzz and his brother Wiley were dumped at the shelter after their breeder gave them up due to Parvo. It was touch-and-go, but Buzz pulled through and was adopted shortly thereafter.
· Wiley, 4 months old, $15,800: While undergoing Parvo treatment, Buzz’ brother Wiley contracted a critical infection. The vet recommended amputating his leg. Instead, Outta the Cage took Wiley to a hyperbaric oxygen chamber every weekday for 3 months. He kept his leg and now lives with a wonderful couple and their dog Poppy (also an Outta the Cage alum!).
· Hardy, 5 years old, $926: Husky Hardy has a mysterious case of alopecia that’s beyond the shelter’s capacity to diagnose and treat. Outta the Cage has paid for blood work, skin scrape, and punch biopsies to get to the bottom of it.
Of course, there are other expenses: standard-issue vet checkups, diagnostics, board-and-train costs, and even gasoline shuttling dogs to and from foster homes and the vet can add up. We’re proud of our partnership with Outta the Cage and hope you can donate so they can save even more of our dogs. Thank you for supporting a solid rescue!
