As ICE continues to threaten our immigrant community, they have been instructed to “get creative”. There have been community reports of ICE entering trains, stopping people outside/near bus and train stops, and overall leveraging public transportation to target folks.
In LA, “the top 5 neighborhoods with the highest number of transit riders have an average median household income of $31,490 — significantly less than the median L.A. County household income of $56,196” (Neighborhood Data for Social Change).
To protect our community members from ICE, trusted community members have established a mutual aid fund to help cover expenses such as transportation (rideshare, taxis, etc.), food and grocery delivery, rent, and lost wages due to missed work.
Privacy and confidentiality are our top priority, so if you are an undocumented person in need of funds, please ask a trusted family, friend, or neighbor, to fill this form out for you. We will contact this “safe person” and funds will be allocated to them, to then be sent to the person who truly needs it. This process is to avoid creating a list of directly impacted undocumented folks, and helps ensure that they cannot be tracked by anyone. As the trusted contact person, please ensure you can send the funds to the impacted person as soon as you receive them.
As a mutual aid fund, we are relying solely on donations, so our funds will be distributed to the community continuously as we receive them. Please share with your networks!

Mientras ICE continúa amenazando a nuestras comunidades, han recibido instrucciones para actuar “creativamente”. Recientemente, hemos visto reportes que en Los Angeles, ICE está subiéndose a los trenes/buses, están parando a gente cerca de las estaciones de tren/autobuses, y en general están ocupando la transportación pública para atacar a nuestra comunidad de inmigrantes.
En LA, “los 5 vecindarios con mayor número de usuarios del transporte público tienen un ingreso familiar promedio de $31,490, significativamente menor que el ingreso familiar promedio del condado de Los Ángeles de $56,196”.
Con esto en mente, y para proteger a los inmigrantes indocumentados de ICE, miembros confiables de nuestra comunidad han creado este fondo de ayuda financiera para ayudar a pagar costos de transportación (por ejemplo uber o taxi), comida/mandado, renta, y para cubrir salarios perdidos por falta al trabajo.
Privacidad y confidencialidad son nuestra prioridad, así que si eres una persona indocumentada con necesidad de fondos, por favor pídale a un amigo, familiar, o vecino confiable que llene este formulario por usted. Nosotros solo nos comunicaremos con esta persona confiable, y los fondos serán depositados a la cuenta de esta persona. Este proceso es para evitar crear una lista de personas indocumentadas, y para evitar ser rastreados. Como persona de contacto de confianza, asegúrese de poder enviar los fondos a la persona afectada tan pronto como los reciba.
