My name is Malaika, and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my family and my beloved Uncle Richard.

On February 13th, our beloved Uncle Richard, a cherished chef and musician from Antigua and Barbuda, suffered his third stroke since 2023. This most recent stroke has left him unable to speak or swallow and with significant loss of strength on the right side of his body.

Richard has spent his life bringing people together through his cooking and music. His warmth, generosity, and spirit have touched many in his community.

As a family, we are doing everything we can to care and support him as much as possible, but he now requires consistent care. We are raising funds to provide an in home caretaker five days a week to help with daily needs such as mobility, meals, personal care, and monitoring his health.

We continue to hold onto hope for Richard’s recovery and comfort during this difficult time.
