My name is Shaun and my aim is to raise £8,000 for Support our Paras & the Sunderland Community soup kitchen.

After over 24 years in the military i am coming to the end of my career in regular service. So what better way to finish than another few runs to raise funds for two important charities. I am not going to make it easy and i have 3 events that i will be taking part in to put me in the hurt locker for all of your amusement.

Event 1

The last soldier standing is a 24hr endurance event this will take place on the 2-3 Nov 2024 in Colchester Essex.

Runners must complete a 4.167 mile loop every hour for 24 hours. If there are individuals still running after 23 hours, the last lap will be a straight race.

The first person to complete lap 24 will be the winner.

Event 2

Tour-De-Helvellyn a 42 mile ultra marathon that takes place on the 21 December 2024 usually a nice sunny affair in December this will be a cold one that usually throws up some surprises.

Event 3

The Big one and probably the hardest thing i have ever attempted. In March/April 2025 I will be attempting the NC500 in Scotland on foot self supported, this is a 518 mile tourist route that starts and finishes at Inverness castle. I am hoping to complete this over 14 days by averaging around 40 miles per day.

I am not the quickest and have never won any running race since i was in school so don't expect trophy's or champagne. I will be testing myself to the limit and appreciate any donations.
