Hello Friends & Family!

For those who don’t know, I work as critical care nurse in the Medical Stepdown Unit at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Our unit cares for patients with complex medical conditions, providing an intermediate level of care between the intensive care unit and general medicine floors. UCMC is the region’s only Level 1 trauma center, giving me the opportunity to learn from and care for some of the most critically ill patients.

In addition to my nursing role, I’m a member of our Unit-Based Council, and this year, I’m helping to organize our Nurses Week celebrations (May 6th-12th). To make this week extra special, I’m raising funds to provide a breakfast & lunch (for both dayshift and nightshift) as well as a small gift for the 35 dedicated nurses on my unit, in recognition of the hard work and care we provide for our patients every day.
