Help Our Mom Get Knee Surgery & Rebuild Her Life
Hi everyone,
My brother, Brendan Santiago and I are reaching out for help on behalf of my mom, Heidi Santiago, who’s fighting to get back on her feet — both physically and financially.
She needs a knee replacement surgery that costs $2,500. While she can still walk, she’s in constant pain, and her limited mobility makes it incredibly hard to work or do everyday tasks. This surgery will relieve her pain, improve her movement, and help her return to work comfortably again.
My mom is a recent domestic abuse survivor who is working hard to rebuild her life and return home to her kids, from the current situation she is in. She’s always been a hard worker, doing whatever she could to provide, even if it meant taking jobs that didn’t offer benefits, and always puts others before herself.
Unfortunately, because she worked as a 1099 independent contractor, she doesn’t qualify for disability, social security, or unemployment. She has health insurance, but it only covers some of the surgery. At 55 years old, she’s stuck in a tough spot where she needs medical help but has no financial safety net, with no income as she is out of work because of her current health status.
This surgery isn’t just about her knee — it’s about giving her the chance to heal, regain her independence, and give back to her after all she's provided for us, so she can get her life back on track.
If you can donate, even a small amount, it would mean the world to us. And if you can’t, a share goes a long way too.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
