I have volunteered with BASA Rochdale to carry out ground support in Bangladesh to free young women and children from exploitation.

The reality of human trafficking in Bangladesh is heart breaking - vulnerable young people and women are being exploited daily, losing their freedom and future.

I’m taking action. From 20th January to 2nd February 2026, I will be on the ground in Bangladesh volunteering BASA Rochdale in partnership with Muslim Charity. We’ll be working tirelessly to rescue, support and restore the lives of survivors from this vicious cycle of trafficking and exploitation.

Our mission is to help them get out of immediate danger and into a supportive safe environment where they can begin the journey of healing and rebuilding their life. This includes securing safe housing, funding their education and providing the skills they need for a stable job via on going programs carried out on the ground by Muslim Charity.
