Our W. Newton community recently achieved an important first step in the fight to protect our neighborhood’s safety and quality of life through a positive court ruling. However, this victory is only the beginning of a longer process. To ensure that court orders are respected and upheld, we must prepare for further legal proceedings. We are seeking support to cover the ongoing costs associated with enforcing this decision and preserving the peaceful environment our residents deserve.

Background:

For several years, the area around the corner of W. Newton and the Southern Corridor has faced repeated issues that disrupt our residents’ peace and security. After exhausting all other options, we turned to the legal system for relief. Recently, the court ruled in our favor, recognizing the need to address these disruptions. However, enforcing this decision requires additional steps, including potential contempt proceedings, to ensure accountability and a long-term solution.
