Support our Kellogg Service and Housekeeping Staff

As many of you know, Northwestern, like many other universities, has asked their students to remain off campus.  Currently the plan for the Kellogg facilities is to remain closed through April 17, but as the days continue and COVID 19 rates continue to grow, the timeline will be re-evaluated.  The reason we are reaching out is in showing our love for the housekeeping and service staff who work for Compass/FLiK at our Kellogg facilities.  With no programs for at least the next four weeks (perhaps longer), these staff members will not be working and while their benefits will be covered, like many others in our communities, they will be without an income for this period of time. 
 
I’m proud to say that we students of the current EMBA, Full Time, and Part Time cohorts are coming together in hopes of mitigating this issue for these individuals who have come to be very special people in our lives.  I know like us, this rings true for all cohorts that have come before us. We have created a GoFundMe page on their behalf and wanted to share this with you. We know this is a challenging time for many, so there is no pressure to contribute.  However, even a little bit goes a long way for this group.

We are working with the Compass/ FLiK management team and all funds will be divided evenly between the 120 employees.  They will receive their last full paycheck on 3/27 so our goal is to try and raise as much as we can and distribute it to the employees prior to their lapse in pay as they would be expecting their next paycheck on 4/10.  Our current plan is to withdraw the money and distribute via money order to each individual employee.
