Support our Journey Through Embryo Adoption
Donation protected
Hi friends and family! My wife and I have been trying to start our family for a number of years now and we haven't had much luck with starting our family as most would. After many tests and doctors' visits, we were left not knowing why we hadn't gotten pregnant as there was nothing conclusive to point to. We spent a lot of time praying and seeking the wisdom of others as to what we should do as both my wife and I really wanted to start our family.
We started exploring other alternatives, which narrowed us down to three main options. The first was traditional adoption, but the doors on that had seemed to close to us for now. The second was Invitro-fertilization (IVF), but our own convictions had led us away from this. That left us with one other option for us, Embryo adoption. We had an amazing opportunity to sit down with a family whose daughter was born via this process and our hearts were immediately drawn to them. We quickly started pursuing this option as we saw that there was a great need in this little corner of the world.
In April 2024, we were matched with a donor couple and 7 Embryos. In June 2024, we officially had them transferred into our name and custody. We now anxiously awaiting being able to "transfer" them, a process by which the live embryos are implanted and then a "normal" pregnancy is then to take place. We have absolutely blown away at not only how many doors had been opened for us to be able to be a part of this, but also how great a need there is. There are literally Millions of Embryos just waiting in storage, many of which will probably be either destroyed or donated to science.
We are lucky to be in a position where we can give just even these 7 embryos a chance at life. Unfortunately, it is still an expensive procedure to transfer the embryos from a frozen state, to living and implanted into the mother's womb. That's where we are asking you for help. The $17.5K will roughly cover the fees and medication needed to do this procedure twice. It is our goal, Lord Willing, to transfer 2 embryos on each cycle, using 4 of the 7 in these two procedures, and eventually transfer the remaining 3. We would greatly appreciate your prayers, and if you felt lead to, to support us in our commitment to give these 7 embryos a chance at life. We are very excited to see how the Lord will use us in this process and how we can glorify him through it!
Behold, children are an inheritance of Yahweh,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
