Dear friends, family, loved ones, and kasamas,

We are excited to share that we will be traveling to the Philippines together this summer to immerse ourselves with communities and local activists we have connected with throughout our shared years of grassroots organizing and international advocacy work.

We are asking you for your support in making this happen!

Taking the time to witness and understand the situation on the ground is one of the most common requests of the communities we are connected with in the Philippines. This immersion trip allows us an opportunity to witness firsthand the environmental, economic, cultural, and political conditions of the communities whom we organize on behalf of, giving us a greater understanding of our work and the communities' evolving needs.

We hope to bring back our experiences and what we've learned to share with you, our friends and supporters back home, through presentations, stories, and educational materials. As organizers committed to international solidarity, we aim to honor and carry forth these experiences and stories with us through the rest of our lives.

There are many lessons we have learned through our work with the communities we will be integrating with this summer, including the wisdom that no great vision can be actualized without the contributions made by many hands and voices. Your support of any amount will cover the costs of travel, lodging, and food for three organizers, as well as provide material aid for grassroots activists and their families in the Philippines. We will be taking a significant amount of time off from our everyday lives to bring this necessary work to fruition, and greatly appreciate your direct support and amplification of this fundraiser in your circles.
