Support Our Grandparents' Move to Safety
Donation protected
We are looking for help for our grandparents, who we found in an emergency situation who we had to quickly get them out of their home and hope to get them moved into a safe assisted facility.
They are 82 and 84 and were living in their home for over 20 years when, about 6 years ago, my aunt (their daughter) moved in with her adult children. Since then, they have taken over the house.
They were pushed into their small side of the entire home and left to rot. They were left starving, dehydrated, and covered in their own filth. They couldn't get out of bed on their own to use the bathroom or eat and were left to just lay in their own soil as the other adults willfully neglected to check on them.
Upon finding this out last week, my sister and brother-in-law took them from that home and moved them into their home temporarily while we find a nearby facility where they can be clean, taken care of, and safe with professionals and stay close to us.
This family also hurt them financially over the years, where they were once retired and able to live comfortably off those earnings, to now barely getting by month to month.
We are hoping for kind people to help our family in order to use funds towards their assisted living cost along with vet bills, as their dog that was living in the house was living with injuries unbeknownst to my elder grandparents.
Any help would go towards these beautiful humans that have been a constant pillar of love our entire lives and were sadly taken advantage of and abused by family we all thought we could trust.
