Update: In Loving Memory of Theresa Padgett

On June 22nd, at 4:00 PM—her 80th birthday—our beautiful grandmother, Theresa Padgett, took her final breath and went home to be with Jesus.

It’s hard to put into words the heartbreak our family feels, but we’re holding on to the peace of knowing she passed on her birthday, surrounded by love, and is now completely healed in the arms of her Savior.

Theresa lived a life full of love, faith, and grace. She was the heart of our family—a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She spent her life caring for others, and now we honor her memory with the same love she gave so freely.

We want to thank everyone who donated, shared, or prayed over these last few days. Your support lifted us during some of the hardest moments of our lives.

As we now shift to planning her celebration of life and funeral, all funds will go toward honoring her legacy, covering funeral expenses, and supporting our family through this time of grief.

If you’re able to continue supporting or simply share this, we are so grateful. And please continue to keep our family, especially my grandpa, in your prayers.

With love and gratitude,
Andrew Cutler

Last Thursday, our beloved grandmother was rushed to the hospital with shortness of breath and feeling very unwell. Although initial tests didn’t show pneumonia, she was treated for it and sent home on Saturday. We were so grateful to spend Father’s Day with her surrounded by family and love.

But just two days after returning home, on Monday, her breathing worsened again. Her oxygen levels dropped dangerously low 80's, and EMS had to transport her to back to Providence Hospital. After further testing, doctors diagnosed her with a severe, aggressive form of pneumonia.

Right now, she’s undergoing extensive breathing treatments and is under constant medical care. Her situation is made more complicated due to a fused spine and curvature from polio she survived as a young girl—something she has bravely lived with since she was just 8 years old.

Our grandma is not just a patient. She is a wife of over 60 years, a devoted mother, and a deeply loved grandmother. She has faced so much pain and adversity throughout her life with strength and courage, and now she’s fighting what may be the hardest battle of all. Doctors have told us that her survival now depends largely on her will to fight.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help cover:

Immediate medical expenses

In-home care and long-term medical support if she is discharged.

Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward helping our family manage this overwhelming time. Your support means the world to us, and more importantly, to the woman who has given her whole life to loving and caring for everyone around her.

Please keep our grandmother in your prayers. Her strength is incredible, but she needs all the love, support, and faith we can offer right now.

We will Update all who love her as her needs change!

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
