Hello and welcome to the official GoFundMe for "Still Here”, the upcoming thesis film from Western Kentucky University, written by Caldwell Howard and Wyatt Mick and directed by Wyatt Mick.
LOGLINE:
When a ghostly presence begins to haunt his childhood home, a recent college graduate has to survive the spirit, or confront the past he's spent years hiding.
The film is a surrealist/psychological horror about growing up and having to confront your past
By contributing to our film the money raised will be going towards productions costs which will include:
- Production design elements (this includes any props, costumes, set decorations, etc.)
- Food for lunches, as well as craft services (includes things like water, on set snacks, etc.)
- Any actor costs as well as payment.
- Location acquisition
- Any and all production expenses that may occur during the pre-production process.

"This film is about the trans experience, first and foremost. Being trans is such a unique experience for each person, yet we are all traveling down the same road. It can be terrifying accepting and showing the whole world who you are. It’s also terrifying to more or less leave behind the aspects of yourself that you were before transitioning. Having to confront this past when you go back to your childhood home can be draining and scary. Despite having an incredibly supportive family, coming home for me and confronting 18 years of girlhood is incredibly exhausting, and I sometimes wish I could throw it all away. My mom always told me when I first came out though that no matter what, I’m still the same person I’ve always been. It took me a long time to realize and accept that the little girl I was is really the same as the man I am today" - Wyatt Mick
