Support Our Family as We Care for My Mom in Her Final Days.

Hi everyone,

This is not easy for me to write, and even harder to ask—but my family and I are in a place where we truly need support.

My mom has been in the hospital for over a month and is now entering the final stage of her life. After many discussions with her doctors, we’ve made the decision to bring her home so she can spend her remaining time in peace, surrounded by love.

The challenge is, we live 800 miles apart. I've been flying back and forth to be with her while trying to stay connected to my husband and our 3-year-old son. Travel, hotels, meals, and weekend visits for my family are all adding up quickly—and as much as I’ve tried to manage it all on my own, the financial strain is becoming overwhelming. We want other family here to say final goodbyes and shower her in love as well. Service costs will be costly as well and she did not have much to spare in life.

As hard as it is to ask for help, I’m choosing to be vulnerable because I know we can’t do this alone. We’re asking for support to help cover travel expenses, lodging, meals, and the ongoing costs of being present for my mom while still caring for our little boy.

My mom has never had much, but she’s always given everything she had. She would share her last dollar, open her home to someone in need, or offer comfort to a stranger without a second thought. She has lived her life with an open heart—and now, we just want to show up for her in the same spirit she’s always shown to others.
