Support Our Dream: Bigger Space, Bigger Impact
Donation protected
We built our shoppe to serve the community. Everything we do is to put others first & we help everyone.
We have one huge dream: to take all the unwanted items from everyone, then sort it all out so we can get the correct items to the right places.
Too many times, people do not know where to take an item. So, it either gets dropped off at the wrong organization and gets thrown away, or the person gives up trying to find a place.
We are already making a huge difference by offering donation bins, just like your trash or recycling cans. Throw any item in it: old glasses, broken crayons, miscellaneous nails & screws, old hangers, one odd shoe (who knows whatever happened to the other one), samples you received in the mail you don't need, etc.
We pick up your bins, or you can drop them off, and you get a new one to keep filling. Then we sort this out. (Eventually, in the future, this will become day employment for anyone willing to work.) After we sort it, it gets delivered to the proper non-profits, organizations, schools, programs, etc. Just the items they want.
Then the rest go into a huge resale, thrift shoppe.
The shoppe will have every kind of used item anyone could be looking for. One-stop shop for second-hand items.
We hope in the future to be able to have a consignment or buyout program too. (We currently have just a consignment option right now.) So if someone was looking to sell any item, we could buy it outright.
This would save on all the items going into landfills. It would help get items to where they're needed most. We would offer "gift certificates" to anyone in need, and they will be able to pick out their own items they need.
This would also eventually offer employment to anyone willing to work. Think about how many families we could help if they had a place they could stop into anytime and work whatever hours they were available!
We have a big dream. Right now, we are currently doing it on a small scale because we do not have enough room. I need a back warehouse space for sorting and lots of room for volunteers & workers.
Then my sales floor is too small. I can only fit about 20% of our products out.
We need a bigger location, which is a few stores down from our current location.
We need to raise the down payment immediately. Then raise funds to put shelving and infrastructure into place, with enough cash raised to pay for one year in advance in rent. That way, we have time for finding grants and getting the larger shoppe up and running.
We are looking for partners and crowdsource funding so we can expand and help more families, non-profits & organizations.
