On Tuesday morning, Ozzie was on his way to work at our Omni (Omniscient) Cafe. It was a beautiful blue-sky morning, but events that day have since left many of us changed forever in ways unimaginable.

That morning a brief power outage in the neighbourhood left many traffic lights without any power, making many of our commutes to work a challenge. At approximately 9:30am, manoeuvring the intersection of Strandherd Drive and Greenbank Road on his e-bike, Ozzie was struck by a commercial truck. As a result of this tragedy he suffered severe head trauma and remains in ICU in a coma, fighting for his life.

Due to circumstances, Ozzie provided significant support for his family, bearing much financial responsibility, holding 2 jobs in addition to his weekend gig as an amazing, DJ Ozzie. As the eldest of 5 children he took on this great task and always with a smile. The recent accident has impacted the family in the most devastating ways and we wish to support this beautiful family as we all pray for Ozzie's recovery.
