Our 69 year old dad Mike Mindo has been a pillar of strength and hard work his entire life. After retiring, he went back to work specifically to secure medical benefits for himself and our mom. Tragically, he's been diagnosed with two aggressive cancers: lymphoma and bile duct cancer.

To make matters worse, a clerical error with his last employer led to a mishandling of his COBRA case, causing a domino effect of financial hardship. My parents are now paying back pay on COBRA to catch up, adding to the overwhelming medical bills never mind all of the out of pocket expenses for medical procedures during the lapse.

As a result of his illness, my dad is no longer able to work. Our mom, his devoted caregiver, is disabled and unable to work as well. They're struggling to make ends meet, and we're turning to our community for help to support my dad's medical expenses and everyday bills.
