Recent ICE activity in our area has created fear and uncertainty throughout the immigrant community in Minnesota, and it has directly affected our corner store. ICE agents have been parked right in front of our store, and because of this, many community members are afraid to come out—even those who are citizens or have legal status. Our store, once full of life and customers, is now quiet. Because people are scared to shop or even leave their homes, our income has dropped dramatically. We are feeling the impact every day and are struggling to pay our bills and employees and keep our doors open. This situation has been devastating—not just financially, but emotionally—for our family and our community. Our corner store has always been a place where neighbors gather, share stories, and support each other. We have worked hard to create a welcoming space for everyone, and it breaks our hearts to see it so empty. We are asking for support during this difficult time so we can survive this moment and continue serving our community without fear. Your help means everything to us, and together, we can keep our store—and our community—strong.
