On March 9, 2026, Wyoming’s governor signed a bill banning abortion at approximately six weeks of pregnancy, before most people know they are pregnant.

We are the only medication and procedural abortion clinic in the state of Wyoming.

We will continue to see patients in a greatly reduced capacity during this period, but we need support to support our staff while we are unable to see patients in a regular capacity.

We are fighting in the courts against this blatantly unconstitutional abortion ban and seeking to block it to allow our patients to receive the care they need.

Julie Burkhart, President of Wellspring Health Access – Wyoming’s only abortion clinic – issued the following statement in response:

“This ban is an attack on Wyomingites’ constitutional freedom to make their own health care decisions, and it puts the health and well-being of our communities at risk. Every day that this law is in effect means people in our state will face even greater barriers to abortion care – and some may be denied this care altogether. With so many across Wyoming already struggling to access reproductive health care, restrictive policies like these take us further in the wrong direction.

We are prepared to challenge this ban in court and fight to protect reproductive rights, health and freedom in Wyoming. We will also continue to work with our regional and national partners, including clinics, abortion funds and practical support groups, to help our patients access the care they need.”
