Our Spanish immersion childcare center is built on love, culture, and safety. Every day, our teachers show up for children with patience, compassion, and deep commitment. Today, that safety has been shattered.
The current ICE activity in South Minneapolis is directly impacting our center. Our teachers—trusted caregivers and educators—are living in fear. Some are afraid to come to work. Others are afraid to leave their homes at all. These are the same people who care for your children, teach language and kindness, and create a stable, loving second home every day.
They are now being forced to choose between their safety and survival—between protecting themselves and paying rent, buying food, and providing for their own children.
This crisis is hurting our entire community. When caregivers are unsafe, children lose stability. Fear should never be part of caring for children.
This fundraiser exists to support our teachers during this urgent and painful moment—to help them stay safe, meet basic needs, and know they are not alone.
If you have ever trusted us with your child, we ask you to stand with us now. Any amount helps.
Thank you for standing with our South Minneapolis community.
