Support Our Cherished Queer Elders' Grief Circle

Since August of 2022, Your Morbid Friends have been running a monthly grief circle at the Edie Windsor SAGE Center. On our last visit, we were informed that our contract was being canceled at the end of the year because while staff and participants love the program and recognize its value (our attendees ask us to come more frequently every time we're there) new leadership is less supportive, and believes our program is "too expensive."

Our non-profit program rate is $400, which encompasses a 1 hour 45 minute program facilitated by two highly trained and skilled facilitators, with a diversity of qualifications and experiences that would be impossible to replicate.

We feel terrible about abandoning our gorgeous queer elders, who we have gotten to know, support, and love over the past two-and-a-half years, so we are hoping to make up some of our rate by donation so that we do not have to leave them right at the beginning of Trump's presidency.

We are hoping to fund at least through August but aspire to keep the program running for as long as possible, so have set our sights on a slightly higher goal.
