Support Our Cast & Crew After Nonprofit Budget Cuts
Donation protected
My name is Remington Michel Stone—I’m a Black trans artist, filmmaker, and musician based in Los Angeles. I’m reaching out with urgency and hope.
We are in the final stretch of production for a powerful Black trans- and queer femme-led rock music video, scheduled to premiere July 26th in collaboration with NAPAFASA and supported by the LA LGBT Center.
But due to unexpected national nonprofit budget cuts, our principal sponsor lost their funding, just days before we were scheduled to pay our cast and crew.
Now, I’m fighting to raise $1,110 by midnight tonight to fulfill those contracts and ensure our team—made up of queer, trans, and BIPOC artists—is paid for their labor and brilliance.
Why This Project Matters
This isn’t just a music video. It’s a radical reclamation of space—an unapologetic, high-energy, queer rock visual led entirely by trans, Black, and femme creatives. It’s about visibility, freedom, rage, and beauty. It’s about creating what we’ve been told we don’t deserve.
Where Your Donation Goes
Every dollar raised will go directly toward compensating cast and crew- performers, camera assistants, production support- all artists trying to survive in an unstable industry.
Any amount helps.
How You Can Support
• Donate — No amount is too small. Every $5–$10 gets us closer.
• Share — Help us reach others who believe in Black trans art.
• Boost — Post this on your socials, tag mutual aid orgs, or connect us with someone who can help.
Thank you for your support and belief in this project.
With love,
