Hi, my name is Sandy. I’m a wife and a mother of four.
Six years ago, our lives were turned upside down when my husband, Oscar, was diagnosed with kidney failure. He began dialysis and, not long after, was also diagnosed with cancer in both kidneys and part of his bladder. Both of his kidneys had to be removed.
Despite everything — the pain, the surgeries, the exhaustion — Oscar never gave up. Even while on dialysis, he was determined to keep working to support our family. His strength, faith, and love for us never wavered.
He’s not just a hardworking man — he’s a deeply spiritual one, always finding time to help others grow closer to God, even while fighting for his own life.
Thanks to Jehovah, on Sunday, May 4th, 2025, Oscar received a first-of-its-kind kidney and bladder transplant. It’s what we’ve been praying for — a second chance at life.
Now begins a long recovery. For the first time in years, both of us are unable to work, as I care for him around the clock. Though his medical procedure was covered, we are struggling with everyday expenses — food, rent, utilities, and care for our children.
We’re humbly asking for your support during this critical time. Every donation, no matter how small, helps lift a burden off our shoulders and brings us one step closer to stability and healing.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you. Your prayers, kindness, and generosity mean more than words can express.
