Today, on April 26th, 2025, one of the apartments in our building caught on fire. This apartment belongs to 78 year old Orestes Pimentel. Orestes has been a resident at this building for over 50 years.

The damage is severe and he has lost his entire home as well as his belongings. It is our responsibility to help them get back on their feet.

The money we are fundraising will help Orestes cover living expenses, medical bills, and replace any personal belongings.

Orestes has built his life in this apartment and losing it within a few hours has been a devastating loss. We call on our community to support Orestes and his family as they figure out next steps.
