Operation Turkey Drop was created to support University of Washington Tacoma Student Veterans families who are facing financial hardship during Thanksgiving. Organized by Mark, a U.S. Army Veteran, this effort comes from seven years of dedication to bringing resources and awareness to veterans' issues in the community. Through that work, Mark has seen how challenges like food insecurity, homelessness, substance abuse, and suicide prevention continue to affect veterans and their families. This fundraiser is a way to stand beside student veteran families during a time of year that should be filled with comfort, dignity, and togetherness. All funds raised will go toward grocery store gift cards and military challenge coins for 40 families who have already expressed financial need through representatives at the University of Washington Tacoma Veterans and Military Resource Center. These gift cards will help families purchase the ingredients they need for a complete Thanksgiving meal, while the challenge coins serve as a meaningful reminder that their service and sacrifice are seen and honored. Please support Operation Turkey Drop and help make sure these student veteran families have the resources for Thanksgiving Day. Every act of kindness helps Mark continue this mission and stand with fellow service members and their families when it matters most.
