Help Open Table KC Become a Nonprofit!

I am Bart Pierce. I am one of the volunteers of Open Table KC and I am helping Ms. Tammy with the paperwork to make Open Table a nonprofit organization. The filing fee is $600.

Open Table KC is a grassroots initiative that fights hunger and restores dignity — one meal at a time.

Every week, we serve hot, homemade meals, offer basic hygiene supplies, and provide peer support to those in Kansas City experiencing food insecurity and houselessness. More than just food, we create a welcoming space built on compassion, respect, and community.

Our motto is simple but powerful:

“Share the Food. Share the Love.”

To grow our impact, we’re filing to become an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which will allow us to receive grants, partner with more organizations, and continue our mission with greater stability
