My family and I are reaching out in hope of your support.
After 25 years here in the USA and under ICE supervision for the past 15 years, my husband Marcos was detained on August 11, 2025, and despite having the necessary documents/requirements to remain in this country, he was deported to Argentina on September 11, 2025, and I have been left here with our eight American-born children, three of whom have chronic medical conditions that require ongoing medical care.
Our family is devastated, we have never been apart from each other, we have always shared 100% of our lives, the lives and health of our children and our Catholic faith as a family unit. We have never seen this event as an injustice, but rather as a Word of God; we believe He has new plans for us and for our family, and we know that God always brings good out of difficult times, as we have seen it firsthand.
Beside the emotional devastation from been apart, we have insurmountable financial responsibilities.
Our oldest daughter was born at 29 weeks, required gastrointestinal surgery at one week old and during her stay in the NICU, she suffered a lack of oxygen which caused a brain damage leaving her with cerebral palsy.
Our fifth daughter, also required gastrointestinal surgery at birth, she developed hemangiomas and had multiple surgeries to remove them up to today.
Our youngest baby required multiple gastrointestinal surgeries upon her birth; she has been in and out of the hospital numerous times during this – her first year of life. she is a very delicate baby, who fought to live very had during her stay at the hospital, her condition was and it is the most delicate out of the three, she has food sensitivity that leads her to develop a severe eczema.
These three are miracle children who require much of my time to assist them with their ongoing medical needs, doctor appointments, occupational and physical therapies and so on. The other five children are all on the younger side but thankfully they do not need the same kind of constant medical attention.
Until he was deported, my husband Marcos had been the sole financial supporter of our family; he has given his life to provide for the needs of our family, and now he is in Argentina, leaving me with all eight children.
With so many care that my children need, I am completely dedicated , devoted, to them, not able to work and provide economically. My husband, Marcos, has given his life to provide for the needs of our family, he was the only financial support.
For us, being separated. It’s not a choice. We have made the decision to stick together as family and therefore join my husband, Marcos in Argentina. It is heartbreaking because we know it’s going to be difficult for the children who have to adapt to a new environment.
We are going back to restart, with 8 kids, without money, without savings, without a home, without knowledge of the system….jobless.
We are facing incredible burden to shelter, feed, cloth 8 kids, not including ourselves and provide required healthcare for them. It’s going to be challenging for our three girls in need of medical care since they are going to lose Access to the medical support they received here in the USA.
