In Ramadan 2018, the kids in our family launched their first try at fundraising for charity. It began with a simple lemonade stand, but has since evolved to reach donors across the globe. MAARA, an acronym representing each of the kid’s last names, evolves each year with our growing family. To date, the MAARA kids have raised enough money to fund 8 water wells, 3 solar powered bore holes, a mosque/ school in India, a roof for our local masjid, and helped sponsor Yemeni orphans. Subhanallah!

This year we hope to bring our fundraiser closer to home. Our family goal is to support Olive Community Services in purchasing a senior center and adult day care facility in Anaheim, CA. This space will serve as a welcoming home for senior programs and activities, adult daycare services, and Olive offices. This center will also be a place where older adults can thrive with dignity, connection, and care.

Donations will be followed by a tax receipt.
