For more than 25 years, Olga has called Houston home. She is a hardworking and resilient mother who has dedicated her life to providing for her children and building a better future for her family.

Like so many immigrant mothers, Olga has done whatever work she could find to support her loved ones with dignity and determination. Over the years, she has sold homemade food, Mexican clothing, sandals, and other goods — always working honestly, tirelessly, and without complaint to make ends meet.

But Olga’s generosity extends far beyond her work. She is known in her community as someone who is always willing to help others, even during times when she herself had very little. She has shown up for friends, neighbors, and families in need with kindness, compassion, and solidarity.

Today, Olga’s family is facing an unimaginable hardship. She was recently detained, leaving her son and daughter without their primary source of emotional and financial support. Her children are now navigating fear, uncertainty, and the overwhelming challenges that come with having a loved one suddenly taken away.

This family urgently needs support to help cover legal expenses, household bills, and basic necessities while they fight to bring Olga home.

We are asking our community to come together for Olga the same way she has always shown up for others.

Por más de 25 años, Olga ha llamado Houston su hogar. Es una mujer trabajadora y resiliente que ha dedicado su vida a sacar adelante a sus hijos y construir un mejor futuro para su familia.

Como tantas madres inmigrantes, Olga siempre ha hecho todo lo posible para proveer con dignidad y esfuerzo. A lo largo de los años, ha trabajado vendiendo comida, ropa mexicana, sandalias y cualquier cosa que le permitiera ganarse la vida honestamente. Nunca se ha rendido ante las dificultades.

Pero la generosidad de Olga va mucho más allá de su trabajo. En su comunidad, es conocida como una persona solidaria, siempre dispuesta a ayudar a los demás aun cuando ella misma tenía muy poco. Olga ha estado presente para amistades, vecinos y familias necesitadas con cariño, humildad y apoyo incondicional.

Hoy, la familia de Olga enfrenta una situación muy dolorosa. Olga fue detenida recientemente, dejando a su hijo y a su hija sin su principal apoyo emocional y económico. Sus hijos ahora viven con incertidumbre, miedo y la angustia de estar separados de su madre.

La familia necesita apoyo urgente para cubrir gastos legales, renta, alimentos y otras necesidades básicas mientras luchan por traer a Olga de regreso a casa.
