Help a Brave Mom and Her Kids Get a Car for a Fresh Start

I'm reaching out to ask for your support for a courageous Ukrainian mother, Olena, and her two sons, (ages 5 and 15). They recently fled the Ukraine and have found safety in our community. However, they are struggling to adapt to life here due to the lack of reliable public transportation.

The Challenge:

Olena and her children are living in an area with minimal public transportation options, making it extremely difficult for her to get to work, take her children to school, and attend necessary appointments. Without a car, their ability to rebuild their lives and integrate into the community is severely limited. The stress and uncertainty are taking a toll on this resilient family, and they need our help to overcome this major hurdle.

The Goal:

We aim to raise $20,000 to help Olena purchase a reliable used car. This amount will cover the cost of the vehicle, insurance, registration, and initial maintenance. A car will provide Olena with the freedom and mobility she needs to get to work, ensure her children receive an education, and access essential services like healthcare and groceries.

She worked extremely hard to obtain her driver’s license as we thought we had a vehicle lined up. Unfortunately, that fell through.
