On the 1st of August 2025, our family experienced an unthinkable loss. My sister Oksana’s husband, Yuriy, was killed while serving in Ukraine, defending his homeland in the war against Russia. He gave his life to protect others — and now, Oksana is left to raise their two young children on her own.

Yuriy was not only a soldier — he was a loving father, a devoted husband, and the rock of their family. His sudden death has left Oksana heartbroken and facing a new life she never imagined: one filled with grief, uncertainty, and the enormous responsibility of caring for their children alone.

Their children, Danilo (3.5 years old) and Solomia (1.5 years old), are far too young to fully understand the loss of their father. But they deserve a chance at a stable, supported future — one filled with love, safety, and opportunity, even in the absence of their dad.

I’m creating this fundraiser to help Oksana and her children navigate the difficult road ahead. The funds raised will go directly toward:

Daily living expenses (housing, food, childcare)

Educational support for Danilo and Solomia

Therapy and mental health services

Emergency needs and future stability
