Help Officer Sam Get a New Accessible Vehicle

EPD Officer Sam Taylor was injured in the line of duty on September 21st, leaving him with a T3 spinal cord injury. He spent some time in an in-patient rehab facility in Atlanta away from his family but is home now and is going through the process of making life more adaptable to suit his needs.

Workers' comp is willing to cover the expenses of making vehicle modifications for one time only. From firsthand experience, I can tell you it’s not cheap to make these accommodations, which is why this fundraiser is being made. The goal is to help raise funds for a new vehicle for Sam so that the wheelchair lift that workers' comp is covering will be going on a newer vehicle that can last him longer than his current one.

There are many new challenges Sam and his family face ahead of them, and finances should be the least of their worries during this time. Our goal is high, but please don’t let that deter you from donating even $5 if that’s what you’re capable of offering. It’s not about the sum of money you’re able to donate but more so the sheer number of people willing to donate whatever they can that really adds up.

Sam is a husband and father and a man who was willing to put his community first. This would be a huge help for Sam and his family.
