Support for the Robles Ortega Family

On June 18, 2025, the Robles Ortega family in Oceanside, California experienced a traumatic and deeply destabilizing ICE raid. We are now asking for your support to help the family secure two separate attorneys, as both parents are facing different legal proceedings.

The Robles Ortega family had lived in their home for ten years when ICE entered with violent force and detained both parents. At 6:00 a.m., as the father was leaving for work, the two children in the home were woken by sound grenades and the sound of windows shattering throughout the apartment.

ICE agents dragged the mother by her hair before forcefully handcuffing her. She lives with anxiety and chronic hip pain, both of which have worsened due to the violence she endured. Since being detained, she has requested medical care for her pain but has not received treatment.

Within minutes, all the apartment windows were destroyed. Two teenagers, ages 14 and 17, were handcuffed. They are now navigating the emotional and psychological aftermath of the raid. The children are currently under the care of their older sister while their parents remain in ICE custody awaiting court proceedings.

Friends, neighbors, and community members have expressed deep love and respect for the Robles Ortega family. Their sudden separation has left loved ones devastated and unsure of what lies ahead. Their love for one another remains strong, even as they face this painful and uncertain moment.
