Support Obsidian with Childcare and Legal Fees!

Obsidian is a multidisciplinary tattooer, single parent and primary caregiver to a 1.5 year old who they are seeking custody for.

They returned back to work 6 months postpartum last winter to a private studio. Only a few months later were displaced by anti-black violence in their work space.

They have explored many solutions; received some help from the child’s other parent, community offerings and found new spaces to work. Yet, they still need assistance with other costs of living like childcare.

The amount of income Obsidian gains from being self employed puts them & their little person in danger of being unhoused.

Regular and consistent employment as a marginalized person who is disabled/chronically ill — and an at-home parent of a young child without enough childcare is very difficult to come by.

Legal fees, childcare costs and stable housing are the priorities for this fundraiser. Help support keeping their family together and a roof over their family’s head.
